Born in Burundi at High Elevation
Burundi, one of the smallest coffee-producing countries in East Africa, produces the exceptional Burundi Shamba variety of the Bourbon Arabica bean. Batch 13’s beans were harvested from mountainous farms at some 5600 feet in Kirundo and Muyinga provinces. The growers are the 360-member Terimbere women’s co-op. The beans were processed at the Gasura washing station.
Start with Exceptional Fruit
As typical for high-elevation coffee, the Burundi Shamba coffee beans shine through with floral and fruity notes, including black tea, honey, lemon zest, and lavender. The Burundi Shamba beans are well known among European coffee lovers for their high-elevation complex intensity of flavor and aroma. The coffee plants are the heirloom Bourbon variety of Arabica.

Firelit Coffee Liqueur Batch 15
Firelit Coffee Liqueur was founded in 2009 by Jeff Kessinger who developed the original cold brew coffee liqueur formula along with his two high school friends; Marcus Urani and Tyler Warrender, and with the help of James Freeman of Blue Bottle Coffee Co. Kessinger has worked with several distilleries, and is now located in the former Germain-Robin distillery in Mendocino County.
Immediately after roasting, the coffee is cold-brewed for 24 hours, then fortified with excellent brandy. The blend is maintained in a stainless steel tank for 1-3 months to fully integrate the brandy and coffee. The liqueur is then descended to bottling strength using a fresh batch of cold-brewed coffee.
Firelit is perfect consumed neat or over ice, but its rich flavor and low sugar content (Kahlua is over 40% sugar!) radically improves your favorite coffee cocktail.
