Low Gap 8 Year Malted Rye Whiskey
New Limited Release
This is the ultimate rye. Most ryes are overly spicy and harsh. Low Gap's 8 Year Rye is different. It has beautiful malted notes with flavors of toasted grains, dried fruit and just enough sweetness. Finishes long with notes of dark chocolate. It's what Rye should taste like!
Double distilled using the Charentais Method using an antique cognac pot still. Aged in American Oak barrels then finished in Cognac barrels.
Each bottle is 750 ml and 43.7% ABV

Loved the rye but I don’t think it’s quite as smooth as the 3 year. I still love the whiskey and can’t wait for a 10 or 12 year to be released!
As primarily a bourbon drinker, this rye was a great surprise. I really enjoyed it!
I purchased a bottle of Low Gap bourbon and really enjoyed it. Unlike anything I've had. It was really smooth had a great nose and has become my daily drinker. I'm generally not a Rye drinker but seeing this came from low gap thought I'd give it a try. Boy was I blow away! It's just like they say. Really nice earthy flavors but not overwhelming. Good balance and not super high ABV so you can taste all the great flavors. A little pricey but keeping this in my collection.
I didn't know Rye could taste this goood. Most of the Rye's I've had can be really pungent and too hard on the tongue. This stuff is the opposite. It's really soft and has these interesting flavors. Get it if you can. Highly recommend
